Bihari Chicken Curry Recipe
Ingredients
- FOR MASALA
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 tbsp black pepper golki
- 1/2 tbsp cumin jeera
- FOR CHICKEN CURRY
- 1 kg chicken
- 400 gm onion sliced
- 1/2 tbsp cumin jeera
- 2 tej pata Indian bay leaves
- 1 Tomato chopped
- 1 tbsp red chilli powder or according to taste
- 1 tbsp haldi turmeric powder
- 3-4 green chilli sliced
- Salt according to taste
- 1 tbsp chicken masala optional
- coriander leaves Dhaniya patta
- 4-5 tbsp mustard oil
- 1 tsp Garam masala
Instructions

FOR MASALA In a food processor grind all the ingredients of masala with little water(3-4 tbsp) to form a semi-thick paste

FOR CHICKEN CURRY in a kadahi or deep pan, heat mustard oil, till its strong raw smell goes off.Then add cumin, bay leaves, and green chilli to it.

When the cumin becomes dark brown in color add onion to it and cook till it becomes translucent

Then add the masala paste to it and cook on medium flame till it is cooked completely and it starts leaving the pan.

When the masala is completely cooked add chicken to it.cook for 5-6 min.

Now add red chilli powder, salt,haldi,garam masala,chicken masala and tomato.Cook until flesh starts leaving the bone and it releases water.

Add more water according to how you like to keep the gravy, thin,thick or dry.cook for 5 more minutes till water start boiling.garnish with coriander leaves.switch off the flame
